New Kickstarter Support for The Vamp

I have long wanted to get some kind of speaker system on my touring bicycle that I could take off and on easily. I have an good idea of what I need to build such a system but I have not pulled the trigger on any of the equipment yet. The big issue is the extra weight with a battery large enough to hold a charge for 8-10 hours. Most people use the batteries that are used in handicapable scooters. I am holding out for something smaller. I may have found it.

I backed The Vamp this weekand can’t wait to get my hands on it. This will be great for camping as well.

I am hoping I can get a single 6×9 car speaker and use the Vamp to power it. If I can get 5 hours out of this little baby I would be very happy. It is said to give up to 10 hours but I need to see it to believe it.

IKEA Lerberg Shelves

I ordered the IKEA shelves a whole ago. I just needed to find the time to finish some more plaster on the walls to get the hung. I’m pretty happy that I was able to get them up this weekend. I plan to add a wood frame around the entire shelve system. The shelves are only $5 each. A single shelve can hold about 40 blu-rays. I’ll now be breaking out my DVD collection that is packed away to fill up the empty shelves.

I’ll get a few more photos when I get the frames build and added to this.

Can’t Wait for Spring

This video makes me dream of summer and rolling through the local trails on a bicycle. Sadly, I sold my mountain bike this fall and I can’t wait to buy another one. The CITA group does such a great job building trails in Des Moines and I love them for it.

This video is awesome. Not Iowa but it gets the trail juices flowing. Cheers to spring, dirt, and 29′ers.

Ella Superstar

A quick photo from last weekend. Ella has been playing basketball in the local i9 league. She loves it and won a determination award. She also scored her first points. I think she was 2 for 6 last week.
