Weekend Update
Wow, what a busy weekend. Saturday morning I went out to the Banner trails for the second work day this fall. We made great progress on the trails up to the bridge. I would say they are ridable and could use some tread on them. It is going to be some tasty riding out there when it is all said and done. I took Noah out with me and he had a blast working on the trails. But he mostly ran around building traps and scouting out the woods. When we were all done he said, “I could do this every weekend”. Here are a few photos that Justin took.
Saturday night was the Spooky Woods Ride. We met at 8:00 at the old Target on Euclid. We had a 4.5 mile ride to a secret spot out in the woods. I ended up dressing up in black and white stripes. Terra cut off the pants and made them into shorts for me so I could bike and not get the pant legs stuck in the chain. I took the extra pant material and put that on my helmet. The spot we rode to was incredible. We had a fire and hung out putting back a few beers. Hats off to everyone that set this up. It was a great time. The ride through the woods was great and everyone had a blast. Here are a handful of photos I took from the night and then a Google Map of the rout we took.
Sunday I ended up working on the basement. I wanted to get in the two pocket doors for the bathroom and the extra bedroom. They were pretty easy to get in but a pain in the but to get leveled and working like I wanted. One of the doors retracts back into a dead area in the wall. I am happy I ended up using pocket doors so the door swing doesn’t take up any space. Here are a few photos of my work.
I also managed to get the OS X update installed on our 3 Apples. It took some time but everyone is up and running without any issues. The new updates are great. I played around with the new iChat features and they are pretty impressive. But my laptop is the only one that can take full advantage of the new iChat effects. I even managed to get the Start Wars holograph effect they left out of the official build working. I will post about that later this week along with some video of it working. Cool stuff.
