The show last night was pretty incredible. We did not buy pre-pay tickets and just planned to buy them at the door. After eating at Dos Rios we rushed over and bought tickets for $20 from a scalper. At the door they wanted $25 for standing room only. And it was pretty much standing room only. Everyone else had table seating and the crowd was a little older. I would say they were about fifty people away from maximum capacity. Maybe 250-300 people were there.
It was very up close and personal. They talked to the crowd between songs and told stories about the songs and their time in Des Moines. They talked about their new project Trinity Revisited.
For Trinity Revisited they went back to the church they recorded Trinity Sessions and filmed a DVD/CD. They had 40 cameras rolling along with Ryan Adams, Vic Chesnutt and Natalie Merchant all there to help out. They have sample video on their site so check it out. Looks to be a great DVD.
