The Des Moines Winter Games has one goal in mind. They want people to be excited about winter. We live in Iowa. Inevitably, the weather will get cold and snowy, but that is not a reason to run to the store and buy all the Blizzard Chow and Corn Nog in sight. It’s a reason to get excited, because there are some great sports and activities to take advantage of right here in Des Moines. Plus, participating in winter activities helps to combat diabetes, obesity, seasonal affective disorder, and extreme winter boredom. Let’s get excited about winter!
