Camera Toss Photography – Round 2
Tried my hand at some more camera toss photography tonight. It was kind of funny but I was searching around the house for anything bright enough to try some more shots. I needed up using my PreSonus Firebox, two firewire hard drives and my hiking head lamp. Seems to have worked out pretty good. I took a ton of photos and these are the ones that seemed to be half way decent.

I love the colors, very cool. What kind of camera are you using? Also, you could of course try holding the camera still, and moving the light source like this:

Scott, I am using a Canon A95. It is my wifes point and shoot. You don’t need anything fancy. There is some risk in tossing the camera so use something that if you drop it you can not going to cry about. I toss and catch it but some people put down a pillow and let the camera drop. Here is what I do. Get all your light sources in place. They need to be bright LEDs for what I did this round. I used external hard drives and my hiking headlight. Set your exposer between 1 to 4 seconds. Turn off all the lights and get a decent focus. Then just flip the camera. Try to get about 3-8 rotations on it. That is all there is to it.
Give it a try and let me know. I will swing over to your site and check them out.
I do play to do some of the night writting like you have done. I just ordered some 10mm Superbright LEDs. Can’t wait to get them!
