Myself and many of my friends love . And we also love good . Colorado is only a short 9-10 hours from Des Moines so it is not a bad days drive and flights are pretty cheap if you book them in advance. What could go better than and Colorado I ask you?

I came across The Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado today. What a great ! I am going to have to order one of these for my next trip out there backpacking…

A map so useful, you’ll wonder how you survived so long without one. The beautifully rendered image of Colorado includes locations and information for all of the over one hundred brewery’s in the state. Now, when your biking in the Southwest near Durango, not only can you use the map to help get you there, you’ll know precisely where to finish the day with a great beer.

The back-side includes an inset from South Denver to Fort Collins, a region saturated with breweries, and a host of other useful information.

Some of the valuable information you’ll find on the map:

  1. dude, $200 gets you to Fraser & back on the Amtrak… Fraser = 600 miles of singletrack, lift access, Forest Service camping, Rocky Mountain Roastery & a couple decent bars… let’s go!!!

  2. Wow! How long is the ride one way and is that round trip? I think I calculated that to drive back and forth to Denver is less than $150 both ways for gas in our van.

But on a train we could sleep and be rested when we got there. If that is $200 both ways then that is a smoking hot deal.

  3. you leave at like 10.00pm & arrive at 9.00am the next day… bikes travel for free on Amtrak… so you get on the train, go to sleep, wake up, get off ride to the coffee shop, then hit the trail

  4. Greetings!

The train station in downtown Denver is staggering distance from a dozen great brewpubs and watering holes. If the train meets your travel needs, it is a GREAT way to get to Colorado.

Another reason to come visit: GABF, from October 9-11 in Denver. Their website: http://www.beertown.org/events/gabf/

Thank you for the kind words on the map – now that it is out, we will be ramping up our web and TV offerings. We’ll keep you posted.
