The city of New York will pay $965,000 to bicyclists who were inappropriately arrested, hassled, and injured from 2004 to 2006 in Critical Mass rides, the New York Times reported tonight. Payouts range from $500 to $35,000 to a rider who was arrested multiples times and injured. The settlement brings to a close a lawsuit representing 83 plaintiffs.
