35/80 Music Festival

Well, this weekend is first 35/80 Festival. It is the first one I think the city has had of this size. You can check out all the details at http://www.80-35.com/. The music line up looks pretty good. The full list and schedule is below.

I plan to go on Saturday and take Noah with me. Kids under 2 get in free. Or at least 2 kids per paid adult do. On the schedule below I put in bold the artists/bands I want to try and catch.

There are two free music stages as well as a Kids Zone on Saturday with inflatables, an instrument zoo, and musical performances. It should be a really good time and family friendly. Look for lots of photos from the event when I am out there.

  1. I don’t think you were around DM at the time, but back when I was in high school 107dot5 (that’s what it was called at the time) had great music fest two years in a row at the Ankeny Airfield called Dotfest. I went to one of them, not sure which, but it was a great show… the headliner for the one I went to was Goldfinger, but they had some other good stuff… one of the shows on the local stage was a little band called, oh, I forget now… Slip-somethin’… it’ll come to me

  2. Slipknot, I can see why it only lasted two years. Doh! If you are down there ring my cell phone on Saturday.
