Bison Peak Hike
On our last CO vacation Noah and I tried to get up to Bison Peak. Unfortunately Mother Nature was not cooperating. After seeing the GPS track I am grad we turned back when we did. We were a good ways from the peak and we were about to hit the steepest elevation gains of the hike. This is going to be a hike that we attempt again for sure. The peak is just incredible with the rock formations. They say there is nothing like it in the entire state of CO. Make me sad that we did not reach it this time. But that is just another reason to head back to CO for another attempt.
Don’t forget when you roll our cursor over the map there are photo and elevation links at the bottom of the map.

I hope you don’t mind if I steal your layout here when I run up Mt. Whitney again next month. Excellent idea highlighting your photos at the locations in which they were taken.
Looks like a great hike! That’s something that I’d really like to run
Do you have a way to geotag your photos? I used my AMOD data logger to record the rout. Then the photos were taking with my iPhone which are geo tagged by default. I upload the photos to my flickr account. Then it is a matter of uploading the track to EvertTrail website and pointing the settings to my flickr account. The EveryTrail site let’s me pick which photos to to use and place on the map based on their geotag.
Process is very simple.
Ahh…you mean the AMOD that I’ve been promising myself but have yet to pick up? Heh…
