Inwall Speaker Install Finished

Here are some photos of the inwall speakers we installed this weekend. Very happy with it and moving the TV away from the bar. I never could have decent speaker placement when the LCD was mounted on the end of the bar wall. Now with the addition of the table set we added to the basement it is great to watch TV, movies, and play games. The electric fire place is a nice addition to the pub as well.

I only have to wipe off the walls a little and finish the cables coming out of the wall. I do plan to mount rear speakers but I am not sure how the heck I am going to run the speaker wire for those. They won’t be fished through the wall. That I can guarantee.

Here are a few finished photos. I will post more on the speaker review and exactly what I put in the walls later.

Looks good, but are you sure that putting an already hot 360 on top of a fireplace is a good idea? BTW, with this post, I’m cracking 100 posts!!!!!

I thought the exact same thing Scott and I am surprised that no one else brought it up. I am doing a post dedicated to my efforts to trick out the fire place mantel. There is lots of stuff behind the mantel on a shelf I am building. Check for post for your answer soon. It will be up this week.

You know what would make the space look extra sweet? BASEBOARD and CEILING TILES! :)

But the unfinished look is so much more manly.

do you dare try wireless speaker technology for those rear speakers, Ed. i hear they’re getting better all the time

  10. Ed says:

No Dan, there is nothing for wireless speaker even worth looking at for home theater. Maybe for PC or ipod speakers you can get away with wireless.
