It Pays to Shop Around
I am trying to get my MAME cabinet back together. I am missing my PS/2 cables. I need two 6′ cables Male to Male. I can’t find them any place in town and this totally frustrates me more than I can really explain. It is the last thing I need to get everything running again. I found the 6′ length I needed and a decent price of $6.99 each at Tiger Direct. With 2 day shipping my total was going to be just under $30.00. I decided to take one more look around the web and found even better cables for $1.50. And that is $1.50 for two 6 foot cables. $1.50 is an incredible price! After two day shipping my total came to $18.75. Score! I found the cables over at http://www.geeks.com/.
Just look how dusty my control panel is. For shame!

It is esp a shame given who you are!!!! Aren’t you mentioned in a book called “101 Geeks that Inspired the MAME World?”
I was the first person to every have the idea to make a MAME front end that did not look like a windows application. It was called ArcadeFX. It is still linked off my blog at http://www.husar.us/blog/projects/downloads But it has not been maintained in a good 10 years I bet. I think I could rewrite the entire thing in Flash now.
Hmmm, might have to be a new project when I get the MAME cabinet back up and running.
