Amie Street Music Wednesday: Joe Raciti

It is about time I start doing my ASMW. What better way to get back into the swing of things by trying to widen the musical blinders you wear. What is it going to be? Some hip-hop, death metal, singer-songwriter. Hope. How about a jazzy piano crooner with catchy lyrics!
I came across Joe Raciti when he posted a simple comment on the blog on a past ASMW post. After a little Googling and going to his website I though it would be a great way to get back into ASMW.
What really made me pick him for this weeks ASWM was a video I came across called “All Hail the Great Blue Whale”. There is nothing life changing about the song but it was recorded 100% from cardboard instruments. If that alone is not worth a ASMW plug I don’t know what is!
Check out the video.

The song I picked from Amie Street is “Everything Comes Up Roses” off his Duck, Duck, Moose album.
Some people think that the way to cure hunger
Is to give people money. Isn’t that funny?
Some people go to the park when it snows
Or to church when it’s perfectly sunny. (Not me)
Some people think that perfume replaced bathing
They’re currently stinky and they formerly stunk.
Some people think that the way to quit drinking
Is to sit in a room full of drunks.”

Wow! I’m so flattered. Thank you so much.
