Here are some quick iPhone photos of the marquee. It was about $16 to have printed at Kinkos. It measures 7” x 23”. The Plexiglas and cutter was another $16. Pretty easy process to get and fit to the needed size. I did not get a brighter light yet but that is coming Sunday.
The old one. Original Arkannoid marquee that came in the cabinet when I pick it up about 8 years ago.

Here is the new one. I will get a bright florescent light to even out the glow. I might also put a white paper behind the image. It might even out the glow even more.

Pretty cool Ed. Too bad they probably don’t have an inexpensive LED that would change colors randomly you could use behind that.
Is the guy in the left the dude from Dragons Lair?
Yep…that’s Dirk the Daring from Dragon’s Lair. I remember wasting far too much time and money learning to beat that game. After that it was on to Space Ace. I wasted my childhood in the Arcades.
The new marquee looks fantastic!
That is correct. You can play all those games with the daphne emulator. It is free and pretty much free to get the games for them as well. I would suggest getting from a burner. You just pay for the DVDs and shipping and they send you the files needed to play them.
The emulator is here – http://www.daphne-emu.com/site3/index_hi.php
The burner I used for the MAME roms has what you need for the Dragon’s Lair, Cliff Hanger, Space Ace, and many, many more. This is the burner I ended up using – http://www.us-lazarus.com/rom-burner/sets/index.shtml Great service and fast shipping.
that looks sweet man. I am glad it came out so well for you. It looks good.
