Sam Lopez from our very own CITA group is on one hell of a trip. He is riding his bike out east in search of Bluegrass. I can’t remember what his final destination is but I think he is going all the way to the east coast. As of today he is six days into the adventure and has traveled 318 miles (512 km). He is logging the trip with photos at http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/tourborasam. You can check out the thumbnails page here of follow the rss feed here. Jump over to the guestbook and leave him some comments of encouragement!
I am sitting here thinking. I wonder if I could make it up to Wisconsin this summer on a bike. I have never really thought of doing a long solo bike trip until Sam start his trip. But the adventure and the challenge of it is getting my gear turning. We go up to Wisconsin at least one time over the summer. I could leave before the family and start riding. The family could leave after me and meet up half way to say hello and resupply. The family continues to drive up and I keep peddling. I wonder how long it would take me? I am going have to start some research and see what kind of rout I can come up with.

He’s in search of Bluegrass as in the plant…or the music
Heading over to his site right now to check it out. Gotta admire a man on a mission…
You might have to ask Sam that one yourself.
