GPS Tracks on Pindropr
I am now able to load GPS tracks to the Pindropr site. I am pretty excited about this. Using my AMOD data logger + point and shoot camera + mountain bike (or hiking) I can create some pretty cool visuals of the trails. This will also be great for CO backpacking in the summer. Here is a screen shot of the current trails I have logged and a few photos on them.

If you want to give this a try on the Pindropr website try this pindrop to get you started. Zoom out a little and you will see the full trail. Click a marker to see a photo on the trail. http://www.pindropr.com/?pin=1523
NOTE: I am going to be updating the position of the photos to get them exact on the trail over the next week. More photos will be added as I get out and ride more over the summer. I think I will let it get a little greener before I make a big effort to get more photos on the map.

Will this work with Google tracks, or My Tracks, can’t remember the name of it right now. But the combination of tacks and images would be neat.
Great job.
it would work with just about any GPS track. I am using the kmz format I think. But KML and even a GPX I think would work. You can convert between file types at http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ easy enough. Right now I am the only one that can add a track. So if you happen to come up with one just let me know and I will get it added.
I think I will have to give users a way to upload the file and auto display them.
