Pets Eye View Camera

dogboing boing did a review of the Pets Eye View Camera with some pretty interesting results. The camera strap on to your pet’s collar and are $40 each. You can set the camera to take a photo every 1,5, or 15 minutes. Internal 8MB memory can hold 40 photos at 640×480. Interesting enough the camera deletes the photo after 5-6 hours.

I think it would be fun to set it to record when the pets are home alone. You never know what goes on while you are out running around town.

The review mentioned that most of the photos were blurry. Our older dog is a little slower (and fat) so it would work on her pretty good. Our puppy is a rocket and I am pretty sure that the puppy’s photos would be all blurry.

I am thinking of some uses for this…. I wonder I could convince my 15 year old daughter to wear one on the weekends? If you secured it good on a road bike I but you would get some decent commute photos. But the really cool factor would be if it took an SD cards (it doesn’t). You could use an Eyr-fi card to upload the photos automatically as they were taken. Then you wouldn’t lost any photos.
