What does WordPress themes, hookers and belly dancers all have in common?

99.9% of them are just butt ugly.

I totally made that joke up and I think it is pretty darn funny! I have not posted much this week. Too busy at work and a few other projects. None of them related to hookers or belly dancers by the way.

I have been looking (with little success) for a new WordPress theme to customize for this blog. I want to change a few things on the blog and don’t have the time to create my own theme. 99.9% of WordPress themes suck, fact! Visually they make me want to puke. People with no talent really should stop developing WordPress themes. Put down your computer and your copy of CorelDraw and go watch the grass grow. And to the people developing visually pleasing themes charging $79 for a single user license, you should be ashamed of yourself when WordPress is free and open source. You sir/madam are just as bad and as the no-talent theme creators. Seriously, if you are a WP admin, blogger, or developer can I get a AMEN here!?

I know, I know, someone is going to point out that I shouldn’t complain since most WordPress themes are free. Or that I shouldn’t complain if I am not going to develop my own theme. Well, to that person I will save myself some time now and comment before hand. Go fuck yourself since you are probably one of the people responsible for saturating the interweb with crappy themes and making it hard for people like me looking for a new one.

Anyway, that is all I have for you my trusty readers. All three of you.

  1. Scott Habicht says:

“single user silence”, can I get that for some people I know?

  2. Nice one. I fixed it. :)

  3. Agreed. I wish it was a more click and drop process where you choose your color scheme, location of the sidebar stuff, check boxes for what you want and then upload a header. Some of those are getting there, but would be nice if you could just upload your own backgrounds and that stuff.

  4. Brave man. Just be sure to get a full backup of your site! I’m currently running WordPress 2.6. I know 2.8 is out, but I’m too chicken to upgrade. Perhaps this weekend I’ll break down and do it…perhaps not.

  5. you sound grouchy.
