Pike’s Peak Adventure Part 3
This is the final Pike’s Peak video.
This video is mostly at the top of Pike’s. It started snowing then hailing on us. To top it off there was a thunder storm as well. If you wait until the end my son and I were close enough to one of the lightening strikes that we felt it. My son said he could feel the electricity come out his hands. It gave my Flip a good jolt of electricity as you can see in the video. Needless to say we hightailed it to get some cover.
Blogging geek Dad that loves to do long runs, ride his bikes, partake in frosty beverages, listen to live music, watch movies, hike high into the mountains, and hang out with his family doing any of the above. Oh, and write code late into the wee hours of the morning.
Wow! It’s amazing you were able to capture that on film. That looked like a solid arc of electricity. Hope it was nothing more than a shock!
I wish I would have got the thunder on film. I think the strike turn off my Flip. I just remember it hitting and then next thing we were heading for cover. It wasn’t until afterwords that Noah said he felt it in in finger tips. I was like okay. Then I reviewed the film and was surprised at what I got on film.
