New Pint Tracker Screens
Started to rework Pint Tracker tonight to fit the 1024×600 resolution of my 9” monitor I mounted to the taps. Pretty happy so far but I had a few ideas for future updates. For now here is what is happening.
For starters the beer leader board and the members leader board are getting an upgrade. Soon it will be displayed as a photo grid with beer totals showing in a sticker-type display. Much more visual that just the text display that is in the above screen shots.

Perhaps I missed it an an earlier post, but I’m curious…did you do the graphics yourself? It’s a slick looking interface you have there.
Get your pint bug fixed yet?
I am thinking that I must have had a fob next to the reader. When you swipe a fob is shuts down the reader for a period of time while you get your beer. If you had a fob too close it I guess it could keep registering it over and over. That is my guess what happened. It has not happened again so only guessing that was the case.
The oak part of the interface I created from photos of oak cabinets. The latest version I worked two halves of the cabinet door and cut out the center area to make it like a window. The red backgrounds with the beers on them are stock illustrations that I am using as background graphics. The beer labels are superimposed over the pint grass to signify what is current on tap. I won’t keep the red background beers images forever. I want to take real photos of pints on my bar and use that with the background blurred out. All the text is using a chalkboard font that I really like. I will continue with the chalkboard look since that was my original idea. Kind of like at a local brew pub where they write the on tap selection on a chalkboard. Next version will not have so much text. The leader boards to beer counts and friend counts will using beer label photos and friend photo with their beer totals on them.
I was showing my sister that works for the local Bud dealer. She thought you should be marketing this to places like Granite City or Court Ave Brew for use with Mug Club. I know I get screwed on my points all the time at GC.
I need a good marketing partner to help me do that. Trying to think of anyone that I know that doesn’t work days and has some extra time on their hands. Hmmmm….
I have time on my hands. I can come taste your beer during the days.
Before it gets too late…Merry Christmas to everyone in Husar land!
Same back at you man. Wishing you and yours all the best. New year is right around the corner.
