Clear Canoe – So Want!
For the last three years I have been thinking about getting a canoe. I did a little canoing as a kid. The one thing that has stopped me is I don’t know any decent float routs around here. But they are there since kayaking and canoing are pretty popular in Iowa.
Tonight I found these clear canoes that are just too sweet. They are about 1500 which is not a bad price at all. They are about 40 pounds which is lighter than an aluminum canoe. They are made from the same materia that bulletproof glass is made from. I have not see one in person but I imagine they are pretty tough.

but unfortunately none of the water in Iowa is clear enough to see into. I’ve yet to swim in any body of water in Iowa and doubt that I ever will. Obviously I was spoiled living just outside of Glacier Park.
I hear what you are saying on the Iowa water. I grew up in WI and my home town is only 6 hours away. If I had a canoe I bet I would make the jump up there more often and get in some water activity.
Cool idea, but how comfortable would you feel if you saw a school of sharks circling underneath you?
I think I would want to see them as opposed to now knowing. But that brings up another questions. What would you look like to a shark in a clear canoe? Yikes!
