Gravel Century This Saturday
Upate 5/28: I am doing the ride for sure!
This weekend a buddy Brian is planning a gravel century (100 miles) bike ride with this wife. It is her first century. I don’t think I have never gone over 60 mile on a single ride. I figure why not start the three day weekending with a bang. Looking for a good challenge. I am about 89% 100% sure I am going to do this ride with them.
The rout hits gravel roads south of Des Moines. The party leave Rassy’s bike shop at 8:00 AM Saturday morning. This is going to hurt so good!
I will post photos and a follow up blog post over the weekend.
Check out the full rout below. Just shy of 110 total miles.

Hey Ed,
Cool site. Where does one go to get an account? I’d like to become a stalker… Have you been able to import Cyclometer map data into EveryTrail? That would be handy. I prefer EveryTrail only because it has built in photos. Cheers!

Hey Bill, thanks for stopping by. Now that I have approved your comment you should be able to start commenting without any approval needed and comments will show up right away. Maybe you can make it onto the Top 10 Stalkers list in the sidebar.
You are the first person that I have found also using Cyclemeter in Iowa. I also use an AMOD data logger to track me activities. It just depends on the ride I am doing. But I love the Cyclemeter app. My favorite iPhone app I think.
Yes, I import the cyclemeter data into EveryTrail. All you need to do is export the GPX file from your ride. Cyclemeter lets you email the GPX file so just send that to yourself and then upload to EveryTrail from your computer. Then add in your photos as needed. Works great. I also love adding in photos. I just switch back to EveryTrail within the last couple weeks.
