iPhone Lens – Wide, Fisheye, Telephoto

Posted by on Dec 30, 2008 in Apple, Gadgets, Photography, Projects | 2 comments

usbfever.com has some cool lenses for the iPhone. They are selling a Wide Angle, Fisheye and Telephoto lens. I went a head and ordered the Fisheye lens. The fisheye give 170 degrees of view. That will make for some interesting Polaroids for my http://polaroids.husar.us photo blog. The lens are magnetic so they will work with just about any small camera phone. I am sure there quality is questionable but each lens is only $20 or less. Can’t really go wrong at that price. They ship from Korea so no telling how long it will take to get. As soon as the fisheye arrives I will give it a...

Blog Update – Polaroids

Posted by on Dec 29, 2008 in Photography | 0 comments

I have been shooting a lot of Polaroids with the Polarize app on my iPhone. Usually I am snapping off a few iPhone photos just running around town and posting them to flickr. But lately it has all been Polaroids. It is a lot of fun. Yes, I know I am a big geek when it comes to my toys. I posted about the Polaroid photo blog a while a go but there is the URL again http://polaroids.husar.us/. Since it has all been about Polaroids I decided to switch the Recent Cell Photos in the side bar to Recent Polaroids. Now the last four Polaroids are shown. They are all linked to the...

New Husar.us Photo Blog

Posted by on Dec 14, 2008 in Photography, Projects | 6 comments

I have created a photo blog that I put into beta this weekend. It is the first non WordPress site I have done an a while now. The new photo blog all surrounds the iPhone and an app called Polarize. This is the same app that I did a review on called ProjectPolaroid. It had a recent app name change. Polarize makes the iPhone camera bearable and I have become a little obsessed with taking Polaroids on my iPhone lately. So much so that bought a second Flick account this weekend specifically just for my iPhone Polaroids. I searched and searched for the best tool/script/app to build a photo...

In the photo I am on the bike just riding no hands because I am cool like that. I think this one of Brian is pretty sweet! The photos are copyrighted by Mandy Miller. Check out some of her other work at http://mandymillerphotos.blogspot.com/

Photography Fire Sale

Well, I finally got off my bum and decided to sell most all my photo equipment. I just have not been much into it lately. It is a very rare occasion that I get out my DSLR these days. It has a lot to do that I am still rocking my Canon 10D. I have not brought myself to get a new DLSR. Point and shoot is just too easy. Most of the activities I do I don’t like to lug around a DSLR. I don’t want to take my DSLR hiking or camping in the summer. The 10D body is not worth much these days but it will make a good backup camera for some one. Last night I listed my two most valuable...

Posted by on Nov 23, 2008 in Apple, Gadgets, Photography, Reviews | 0 comments

Price: FreeVersion: 1.41Developer: Erik Pettersson With my Pindrop application I shoot iPhone photo more than most people with their iPhone. It is not the best camera but Pindrop makes it that much funner I guess. That is why it is time for me to start looking for some photography iPhone apps. Vintage B&W is the first one I have been using lately. It is a free app compared to many of the photography applications there are available. And I like free! As are most free apps Vintage B&W is pretty simple. You get the iPhone native camera application when you start up Vintage...
