Long Beach
We met Terra’s cousin in Long Beach yesterday for dinner. It was great to see him. We had dinner at a sea food place with the Queen Marry ship in our view. Company was great but the food was just okay. It was a rainy day in Southern California so traffic was worse than normal. It did not clear up until we made the 23 mile 1 hour drive in LA traffic. I took a few hours tonight to catch some live music downtown. I rode my bike down alone and checked things out. After listening to Scars on 45 at the Des Moines Art Festival I headed over to Nightfall on the River to try and catch The Nadas. I had to leave before The Nadas started but I did manage to get a photo of how high the water is. Check out this photo and the stairs. Normally you can walk down the stairs and around the back of the stage. Right now you can’t get down the stairs at all. The river is about 4 feet from flooding the lawn.
