There is still lots to do. We will tear down the second deck and expand the new deck out to the end of the house. We will also build around the upper deck so it has a step down deck that will expand out between 4 to 8 feet. Here is the final phase one video.

I am into most of the HBO series and don’t own a DVR. At times I have a hard time getting an episode I have missed. Those days look to be over with the ability to stream to our iPad. If content is on HBO it will be available to stream so there is no restriction on certain show and movies. I am pretty excited about this one! Oh, and movies are also on demand as well. Woot!

I think I need to figure out the iPad to TV/projector connection now. But I am hoping that the HBO Go website will just allow me to access everything via my Google TV connected to the 1080p projector. I will post an update as soon as it goes live May 2nd.

Later that night we went to the show as The Beastie Boys kicked it off. The show was at the place the Milwaukee Bucks played their games. Can’t remember the name of the arena but it was packed like a NBA game. Counting the Beastie Boys there was only 8 white people in the entire arena that I saw that night. If I had to guess there was 20,000 people were there. We were a group of 4 (two girls and two guys) and then one other person way across the arena, who I found out later, also ended up being also from my high school. The first track the Beastie Boys played was Slow and Low to open the show. I can still remember how hard the bass was hitting. I couldn’t believe it. From the minute they took the stage I was hooked.

Fast forward some 25+ years later and I listen to them on a regular basis. They are my same age give a year or two. There is nothing that even comes close to sounding like them. There have been lot of rappers over the years but nothing like the Beasties. It is amazing they are dropping music that I still identify with and still listen too on a regular basis.

The Beaties have a new record about to drop and a short movie to go along with it. Check out all the stars that make an apprearence in this clip.

With all the remakes coming out of Hollywood, which I am really getting sick of by the way, why have we not see a much darker and more accurate Pinocchio’ movie. Today I came across a short that takes place between Chapter 15 and 16 of Carlo’s Collodi’s classic novel ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’. I have to say it is creepy!

Set between Chapters 15 and 16 of Carlo’s Collodi’s classic novel ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’, ‘The Tree Man’ depicts Pinocchio’s seemingly final minutes as he hangs from a tree. As he slowly dies, the wooden marionette spiritually journeys into an inferno of fear, guilt and hope through his encounters with key symbolic characters such as the Maiden with Azure Hair and the ghost of the Talking Cricket. As he falls deeper into darkness he learns the crucial dangers and virtues of the mortality he seeks.

I have not used the app much. I did created a quick test video then edited it. The process is you create a project first, then you can add as many video (and clip them) as you want to the project. I did not see any stock transitions or opening and ending clips but maybe I missed them.

Everything seems to work great and it is easy to use. I will get some video of the kids doing something soon and post it as a example. Until then here are a few screen shot of the interface.

If you get into shooting HD video then I highly suggest you get a Vimeo account. Why Vimeo over other competitors like YouTube? Well you don’t get all the extra crap video that you see on YouTube. I think they have a free account so give it a try.
