Today I got the material samples. These are from Dazian Fabrics and are an alternative to GOM. They are both fire resistant. The big differences are that you have less color options with the Dazian than you do with GOM and the price. GOM is $19.99 a yard and Dazian is $4.95 a yard. These two colors are Charcoal and Silver. I am pretty sure I am going with the Charcoal for the bottom half of the room and and paint on the top half. I am leaving towards a deep red for the top half. Home Theater Panorama #1

This is the first panorama of the home theater. I plan to do a panorama after every major update to the room. Next is finish the window and the cabinet for the components storage. Final drywall sanding will be done tomorrow and paint soon after than. To move around the panorama hold your mouse button and drag around the the room. Make sure to look up and down. Tuesday I found a local sheet metal shop and could sell me 80 feet of Owens Corning QuietR duct liner. I got it for about $180.00. That is a pretty good price considering that Linacoustic runs about 300+ dollars for 100 feet. I would have preferred to have Linacoustic but you just can’t find it any place. I will be using the QuietR behind the screen wall and around the room up to about 40 inches. This will help in the theater room to reduce unwanted sound waves bouncing around the room. Well, it has been a long time since I worked on the home theather but I have picked it back up again. Today I had some drywall work done on the ceiling. I did not think I could get it as smooth as I wanted it so I brought in the professionals. Today they gave it a good coat of mud and fixed a little of my handy work. Tomorrow they will be back to do a sanding and another coat of mud. Here are some of the original plans that I did for the room. This first one is with an opening into the room about 9 feet wide.
