I have not had any time to make any new posts, let alone do some general fixes to the blog. So I am going old school on you and using the default theme for a while. Not sure when I will get to update the theme. I have tons to talk about but just not enough time right now. But never fear sprint is around the corner and things will change soon enough.

Monday, February 1st, 2010I tell you what. Mediacom has just been sucking ass the past 30 days. I normally get about 11Mb/s but tonight I am getting less than 4.

Over the past 30 days my connection has gone down no less than 3 times that I know about. Twice then people were over to look at web stuff. I really need to think about switching over to Qwest.

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010I have to come clean on my my guilty pleasure as of late. It is a series on NetFlix called Ballykissangel. I have an affliction for most things Irish even though I am not Irish. You see, in a previous list I once worked for an Irish company and spent many of trips to Ireland. It was a great time and I always dream of taking my family there some day. For now I have to settle for Ballykissangle.
Ballykissangel was a BBC television drama set in Ireland, produced in-house by BBC Northern Ireland. The original story revolved around a young English priest as he became part of a rural community. It ran for six series, which were first broadcast on BBC One in the UK from 1996 to 2001. Significant changes in the cast occurred between the third and fourth series and between the fifth and sixth series.
So there you have it. I just finished season one and started season two tonight. I tried to get my wife to watch it tonight but she pretty much just roller her eyes at me after about 15 minutes in. I guess I am an odd lot that can enjoy such series. Sleepy Irish town, priest, love interest, forbidden fruit. All that jazz.
It is not for everyone but if you like to lose yourself in character development and an alternative realization then maybe, just many, Ballkissangle might be for you. But I really doubt it. Kiera Knightley, an English actress, who was born on march, 26 1985 had her debut in this series. She went on to Bend It Like Beckham, Pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the Black Pearl, Love Actually and many more.
If you have some quirky connection to the Irish and enjoy a good watch, then maybe Ballkissangel might just be worth the time wasted on the boob tube. Check it out.
