30 Run Challange: 5 of 30
Every time I make a run post I can’t believe I am still in single digits of runs. Only 5 runs so far but I feel I should be at 10 or more. Oh well. Tonight’s run was both good and bad. I did my longest run so far on the 30 run challenge with 5.1 miles. Felt really good until 2.6 files and then my knee started acting up. Not much I could do but keep running and hobble around like a heavy weight boxer who is long past his prime. I did not walk and just pushed on through so I feel good about that. Next time I run that rout I will do it in reverse. Too many up hills on the way...

3.1 miles at 10 degree is about as close to hell as I think I want to get. I decided to get away from the hood to deter my the urge to hang a few lefts and get back home. So I jumped out to Vista and went straight until I was a good distance from the house. I looped back by going over by work and it worked out pretty good. I don’t think I warmed up until the last third of the run. Fingers were cold even with gloves on. The only good thing about the run was the good vibrations that Marley was spreading in my ear buds. That and that I made it home and did not freeze to death. Here was...

“I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down, Livin’ in the hopeless, hungry side of town, I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime, But is there because he’s a victim of the times.” That is me in all back ready to hit the icy road of pain and misery. That is about my mind set when I run. The Cash lyrics really have nothing to do with me wearing black but what the heck. Here was the path tonight. I need to get more consistent between my runs if I am going to increase the milage. Also I need to get away from the neighborhood. Staying close...

You would think last night that I would sleep pretty good after my run yesterday. After all it has been a while since I ran last. But wouldn’t you know it that come 3:30 AM I am wide awake in bed. Up at 7:00 AM then into work at about 8:30. Left work tonight at 8:00 PM. Ate a quick dinner and out the door at 9 for a quick run. Nothing special about tonight’s run. I did not find my knee brace after a quick look in the basement by my hiking gear. Oh well. I thought I would get in a slow run to get a good sweat going and keep the challenge going. My knee did not feel too bad...

Started a 30 day run challenge today. Nothing too special but something to get me started and ready for spring. Nice winter night to get in a run so I couldn’t have picked a better night to get started. I finished up work at about 8:00. I ate some dinner and then headed out about nine. Felt pretty good then about halfway my knee started acting up. It only bugs me when I am out of shape so that is a good indication of my condition I guess. Run one is completed so on to run 2 but I might have to dig up my knee brace. Here is the damage recorded with my iPhone and the PathTracker...

Not much is new at The House of Husar. I just got over being sick this weekend. Loads of work still keeping me busy so not much time for anything else. Pretty boring really. Been so busy that I did not even get a chance to mention that the Fat Tire keg went dry last Tuesday. Too busy to get another one either. No time to drink it anyway. If we have a Super Bowl party in two weeks I guess I will get one for that. But no time to enjoy it right now with so much work. I need to get out and run more. Been terrible about doing anything active. I need a challenge to get me started/motivated. So...
