This weekend I decided to make a few site updates. I have been pretty lazy about updates. The layout for one has changed. It is more of a aggregate layout now. I have so many different things going on this new system will keep information going to the site on a regular basis. At a quick glace you can just about see everything I have my hands in at the moment. The one area I am very happy with is a new gallery system. I like to shoot and upload photos but I don’t want to have countless posts of just a single photo. That is kind of annoying to the reader. I could post photos in groups...
Read MoreDeck Speaker Install
I am sweating buckets out on the deck tonight buy I’m not complaining. I’ll take the sunny and hot over the cloudy and rain any day. I have been installing the deck speakers. I have all my wire run and everything seems to be done on the outside. Here are a few photos of the KEF Ventura 6 speakers mounted and ready to play some music. They are waterproof and sound way better than I thought they would. Bass and high sound great. I have played everything from Avett Brothers to Run DMC on them. Very happy. I will be doing a video update soon demoing the entire deck system to...

I don’t know about you but these text games were some of the first to get my imagination going. Back in the day you needed to have good decent typing skills and a good imagination. I remember one of the first computer games I every played was on a Commodore 64. I can’t remember the name but it had a troll in it and it was on tape drive. The tape drive would fast forward and rewind on it own based on your actions. It was text based. To think back how far games have actaully come is pretty incredible. Also, if you did not know they started making the C64 agian. Ubuntu OS but it...

As I continue to finish up my deck I eventually want a decent sound system out there. I recently ordered a set of speakers that I am excited to get installed. This coming weekend the speakers should make their way to me from Kansas City via my future brother in-law. He has started his own Low-Volt Wiring, Home Theater, TV Hangs, Control Systems and Computer Repair small business called Long Wire. He is using the weekend to make a business trip up to Des Moines to do the install. I ended up ordering a set of KEF VENTURA 6 6.5″ All-Weather Outdoor Speaker. I have read nothing but...

This weekend turned out to be pretty good. The weather held for the most part. Terra’s parents came into town to hang out for the weekend. We grilled out twice and the weather was pretty nice despite the forcasted rain and thunderstorms. I am still waiting for the 80 degree days with no wind. Soon I hope. I did get out on the fixed gear this weekend. I decided to head up to Big Creek. It is a good 38 mile ride and I have never gone north from downtown. It sounded like a great way to finish up the weekend. Here is the GPS log from the ride. Time for the ride was 2:42:05 and I burned...
