Latest Husarography Photos
Here are the last four photos I have uploaded to the Husarography site. Not a lot new over the past couple of months and I had to search my iPhone for these. Never fear spring is here and that usually unleases a load of new iPhone photos. Lots more new one coming soon.
Read MoreHome Theater Update: Amps
It took me a while but my rack is complete for the time being. I have been waiting to find a deal on Crown 202d amps and that presented itself a couple weeks ago. I was able to get an additional 3 amps to add to the one I already bought a few months ago. This was the best packing I have ever received from a eBay purchase. The best home theater I have had the opportunity of demoing was driven by the same Crown 202D amps. The theater was from a local home theater builder who was running a 6.1 system off three of the 202D amps. There is very lengthy discussion on these amps on just about...
Read MoreFixed Century Pack List
It looks like Mother Nature is going to cooperate with me. The fixed gear century is on tomorrow. I really don’t have any business doing this right now. I am there mentally but not physically. But like most things I do it is half planned. I guess that makes it more exciting. I am rolling solo as of right now. Just me and my Swobo Sanchez. I am spreading everything out and this is the extent of my less than ultra light gear. I was hoping to avoid putting my CamelBak on for this one. I picked up a under saddle bag that is big enough for everything except the food and water that will go...
Read MoreHBO Go App
HBO Go has been around for a while. Unfotunetly it was not available to everyone on every dish/cable provider. That is about to change. Next month HBO Go will be available to all via iPad, iPhone and Andrioid smartphones. This is huge news and one step closer to watching what I want when I want it. Only down side is you must have a cable/dish subscription to HBO. But maybe in the future they will offer subscription-only package to tablets and smartphones. I am into most of the HBO series and don’t own a DVR. At times I have a hard time getting an episode I have missed. Those days...
Read MoreGoPano micro on Kickstarter
I have funded a few Kickstarter projects over the last year. The current one is the PadPivot project. Their goal was $10,000 and they ended up raising over $190,000. Pretty impressive. They are in the production stage and I am looking forward to getting my hands on it very soon. The newest one I am looking to help fund is the GoPano micro . I have several pano apps on my iPhone and use them ever so often. But there has not been any pano video apps that I am aware of so this is pretty exciting. The project consists of a case and a lens attachment. The interactive part is you can swipe...
Read MoreiPhone Waterproof Cases Unboxed
Here is what I picked up for our trip to Florida. Amazon delivered them yesterday right on time. Here you see three waterproof cases and one of them has a speaker for playing music at the beach. These will be great for getting some underwater and general playing on the beach shots. After a quick test you don’t want to be taking lots of photos with the waterproof cases on if you are not in water. You do shoot through the rubber so it is a bit “foggy”. I think that will not happen when submerged. You do still have full control of the iPhone with the case on it. Again,...
