iPhone Waterproof Cases

We are in the process of getting ready for a little vacation time in Florida. As accident prone as I am with my iPhone I wanted to try out a few water, dust, and sand proof cases. If nothing else but to try and get some under water video footage and not bring back sand in our iPhones. DSLR under water cases often cost as much as the DSR themselves. Something a lot more. I don’t have that kind of cash to spend on this “experiment” so I did some searching on what our options are for the 3 iPhone we have at our place. Here is what I ended up ordering today on Amazon with 1...

Vimeo iPhone App

Finally! I can’t tell you how long I have been waiting for the official Vimeo iPhone app to get released. I think I have been complaining on their message board for over two years now. I don’t have a clue what took them so long but the wait is over. This is perfect timing since we are heading on a little vacation soon to soak up some sun, sand, and maybe a few suds as well. You can expect lots of video from the iPhone using the Vimeo app. I have not used the app much. I did created a quick test video then edited it. Instead of just guessing what is best for my build I really want to measure and trying to apply what makes the most sense. To do the measurements...

New iPad

Did you really thing you’d get anything else posted here today? New iPad March 11th. I am sold on the full HD video editing, front and back cameras, and the dual core processor. Those three updates will make me buy one. The new cover is brilliant and something you would only see on an apple product. This time around I am pretty sure I will get the 3G model. Editing video on vacation or while traveling will be really nice. That is not something the current iPad can do. At least not HD...

Best Kinetic Hack Yet

There has been a lot of kinetic hacks over the past few weeks. I want one just to try my own hacks. Hats to MS for the open source drivers. If I had this running at the House of Husar you can bet I might not leave the house for a few weeks. I can just hear the family calling my upstairs for dinned. I’d yell back, “Hold on I am swinging my light saber!”. I just love it. I can’t wait until they build this into a Star Wars game....
