Breaking In New Boots

I picked up a pair of Hi-Tec V-Lite boots over the weekend for the backpacking trip. They are very “lite” and did not look like they would require much to break in. I took them to the gym tonight and did 20 minutes on the Stairmaster then another 20 walking in them. They felt really good and I had on cotton socks. I did have a little hot spot on the back on my left heal. I think with the proper socks and a couple more outings on the Stairmaster they will be good to go for the big hike in 2 weeks. Longs Flank Circuit

I have been researching Rock Mountain National Park to find a circuit to take for the backpackin trip. After buying the book Hiking Crcuits in Rock Mountain National Park I think I have found just the right one. The book calls it Longs Flank Circuit. The suggested path is clockwise. I am planning a 3 day backpacking trip to Rock Mountain National Park in about 3 weeks. This is the start of a list of what I need to bring.
