Mothers Day Garden 3.0 Upgrade
We spent the weekend under the sun building a garden update for Terra. It was a nice Mother’s Day present from the entire Husar clan. Here are two videos showing the progress that we made over the weekend. The first video is day one and the second video is day two progress. We may paint some flowers on the little fence but for the most part it is complete. The wood fence was built out of left over decking that we had in the garage. Terra snapped this photo on her iPhone 4 in the backyard and sent to Sam’s Club to make 11×14 prints for Christmas gifts. Sam’s ended up calling and asking if she had copyright permissions to print professionally shot photos. He laughed and told them she shot the photo with her iPhone. The next day when she went to pick them up they made her sign extra paper work that the photo was not a professional work and she owned it. Pretty funny I think. Two back breaking days of deck building. Day 3 was hole digging. Even with renting a hold digger it was hard work. Terra and I had to man-handle the driller with the Iowa clay in our yard. Close to the house the dirt was not too bad but away from the house it was murder. In the end we got all 9 holes dug and the posts set. Frame is build. Up next is cross beams and topping.

Last weekend we took Noah and Ella on a long bike ride. We did about 25 miles. Heading out from Center Trail we pedaled downtown and up to the Capitol. Ate some lunch and then did some singletrack. It was the first singletrack for Ella. She was a champ and couldn’t get enough of the dirt on her new mountain bike. When Terra and Noah jumped in the van Ella had to have more.
