Elevation Profile
Here is an elevation profile of my ride on Sunday. I used GPS Visualizer to create this. If you are doing any mapping for a GPS unit I encourage you to check out the fine work that Adam Schneider has done on his site. The only other GPS app I am using is MacGPS Pro to pull the GPS data from my Garmin Vista...

Okay, I think I have finally figured out the best settings for the Garmin Vista Cx. I ended up setting the Tracks settings to Record Method = Auto and Interval = Most Often. This turns out to be just about perfect for what I am tracking. On today’s ride I stopped just long enough to create a new track file and clear out the old. What this allowed me to do when I converted them to a Google Earth KLM file was add some color. I hope in the near future to just record the entire ride as one track then after I am done save each part of it as a different track. I will have to play around...

Today I did some more testing with the new eTrex Vista Cx. I changed the device to capture a position every 0.06 of a mile. Yesterday I had it on automatic. Auto was much better to get a more accurate path. This path is not accurate since it takes a position check too far apart. 0.06 left out half of the trial. Look at the different in detail of the path from Friday to Saturday. Here was today’s path. Click the thumbnail to see a larger version. I am not sure the total distance on today’s path. I forgot to reset the distance counter. My best guess is about 10 miles. I...

Then you finally move and realize that you are okay. I won’t go into details how I wrecked becuse it was a complete bone head move. But, when I fell over the handle bar one side of the handle bar planed on the ground. Then my chest planted on the other end of the bar. I was sure I broke a rib in my chest it hurt so bad. It hurt like hell! I got up and started riding again and had to...
