Vimeo iPhone App
Finally! I can’t tell you how long I have been waiting for the official Vimeo iPhone app to get released. I think I have been complaining on their message board for over two years now. I don’t have a clue what took them so long but the wait is over. This is perfect timing since we are heading on a little vacation soon to soak up some sun, sand, and maybe a few suds as well. Did you really thing you’d get anything else posted here today? New iPad March 11th. I am sold on the full HD video editing, front and back cameras, and the dual core processor. Those three updates will make me buy one. The new cover is brilliant and something you would only see on an apple product. This time around I am pretty sure I will get the 3G model. The Walking Dead is not two weeks into the series. There are a lot of zombies but it is really more about the human condition than the blood and guts. It is as good as I hope it would be from the trailer that I came across on Herman’s blog a few months ago. It is one of those shows you wish was longer than an hour. If you are into the zombie genre at all this is a must see. The one thing that is bugging me is that Direct TV doesn’t have AMC in HD yet. So I am stuck watching in, well, less than HD. Sunday I took the Flip out with me on the trail trying to mount it to the front fork and handle bars. In both cases it came loose far too often. I was hoping to get some sample video from that ride but after looking at the footage it was too jumping. I trashed it all and started thinking of how I could MacGyver the Flip to the front fork better. Spring is here and it is gadget time! I picked up a Pedco UltraClap off Amazon yesterday. The UltraClamp is a window clamp but it mounts great on my bike. Handle bars, fork, seat post all work well. Combined with my Flip Ultra HD we get some sweet HD video. The UltraClamp was less than $22 so it was a real steal. I mounted it with my Flip HD and did some test rides on my mountain bike tonight.
