The House of Husar Mission

The House of Husar Mission

So I was just looking at one of Bill’s recent bike rides on Google Maps and saw a business listing to a house near his rout. The one I saw was for a DJ service. This made me think. Why couldn’t The House of Husar get listed on Google Maps? I don’t see why not! So I am now on a mission to see The House of Husar listed. Check back soon for the progress. Friday Night Kids Ride

Friday Night Kids Ride

I picked up a new Amod data logger last week. This is the same one I used last summer but I dropped it and it broke on a bike trip. So I picked up another one. At only $60 they are of the best gadgets in my arsenal. Turn it on and clip it on your backpack, bike or anything else. It tracks you until you turn it off. It has lots of options for setting how frequency it records your location, what gets recorded, and goes for a couple of...

Super Saturday Single Speeding 56.7 Miles

I had a big plate of nachos, a stout, a porter, and a pale ale. After that I jumped back on my bike and headed back home. Here...

G-Map Turn by Turn GPS on iPhone

Well it took long enough but the iPhone now has a Turn by turn GPS app. XRoad is the company and G-map is the name of the app and it is not from one of the major GPS companies. That really surprised me at first. But I guess that makes sense since now I will never buy a dedicated GPS for the car. If Tom Tom released a GPS iPhone app no one would buy their units. Looks like the iphone killed another device on my gadget list. G-Map has been...

When markers are too close to each other they get grouped or clustered into a single icon. Clustered markers are the big red ones. Clicking a clustered icon will zoom you in a few levels. The individual pindrops are now blue. I also changed the URl to http://pindrop.husar.us. The...
