Night Riding this Summer

Posted by on Apr 14, 2008 in Sports | 4 comments

I want to get in more night riding this summer. I am talking about moutain biking of course. Last year I bought a nice dual light that worked great back in Oct. when I rode on the Spooky Ride. Now that was a fun time! But this year my mission is to get in some night riding out at Center Trail. I have no excuses now that I have a light worthy of some juicy trail riding. I will probably start on the hillside trail for a few trips. Just to get used to it. Hillside is much easier to get out of if I need to. But I was looking for an extra light to put on my helmet. Use the map and zoom in to see the little fun parts of this ride as I go out of my way to cut through the apartment complexes. Also check out the overpass loop-d-loop. Click on the icons for more details. Maybe tomorrow I will snap some pictures while I am rollin’ and post them to the...

Weekend Update

Wow, what a busy weekend. Saturday morning I went out to the Banner trails for the second work day this fall. We made great progress on the trails up to the bridge. I would say they are ridable and could use some tread on them. It is going to be some tasty riding out there when it is all said and done. I took Noah out with me and he had a blast working on the trails. But he mostly ran around building traps and scouting out the woods. When we were all done he said, “I could do this every weekend”. Here are a few photos that Justin took. Saturday night was the Spooky Woods...
