Master’s Track
I am about 50 pounds heavier than I was in high school and I had back surgery in 1998 after I shattered my L5 disc. I have never fully recovered from that surgery. Despite these set backs I have the idea of competing in the Master’s track meets. In this weblog I will attempt to document this journey.

Even after a hard weekend of basketball I had a good jumping workout tonight. I did a few pop ups at 1.53m then did a full approch at 1.57m and 1.63m. I did one last jump at 1.68m. That is only .20m under my jump at the Minnesota championships of 1.70 and my best Masters jump. If I manage my jumps right in the coming meets I think my goal before the end of the season of 1.78 is reachable.
